In the good old days of water & sponge I once filled up a humi in a rush before going on holiday only to retund 15 days later to find that I had left the door wide open.
To enable a nights sleep I had to there and then light up a couple to ensure condition. No problems, even better than before That said, the sticks were all in their own boxes and it wasn't winter with the CH on
