I have quite a bit but noting in my collection is safe from burning up. If I would pick I would say Caney Banquet Fino from '74-'76 these are Rare and only know of 2 people online or otherwise that have them.
Couple of honorable mentions would be
R.A 898's

shame, that. those boxes would've really helped.
when you get a few more 'rep' around here, i'd be quite interested in sending you a little Cuban sampler for 1 or 2 of those Robbies if you don't mind.
naturally, i'd only be able to tell you if they're NOT 98s+. most cohibas made between 98 and 02 are... well... less than admirable. naturally, i said MOST so they still could be good. it's always so damn hard to tell.

I'd be happy to have a trade with you, apart from anything else I'd like to get the opinion of someone who knows their business. I have smoked one but I love dark leathery oily maduro's so I don't have much experience of Cubans other than Divinos and Partigas D's.

Therefore, the biggest hit were Cohiba, Montecristo , and RyJ. The money bringers. Cohiba was hit extremely badly, actually.
However, fortunately for other brands, they didn't suffer as much. In fact, one of the only ways to get the coveted LGC1s, RA898s, Punch SSs , etc is to get them in the years 98-02.
And there's no way in hell any of those sticks will be bad to the burn.

The reason you can still find discontinued cigars from these years is you really need to have a good vendor that will check the cab and guarantee them for being a box of tent plugs, which a lot are not prepared to do as they know in time they will find a sucker willing to buy them even if they are plugged. My opinion on why prior years are so hard to find is they were all bought up over the bad 3 year period as the current stuff at the time was so problematic. Oh if you want I can tell you where a box of 99 punch SS 1 are at a great price was told by the vendor there tent pegs but since you say no way your welcome to them there a great price as well.
