So I can get a maximum of 50 of a combination of these cigars, not that I will necessarily be able to afford to fill that allocation. What's people's thoughts on which sticks are better out of these.

Bolivar LE Oryx - 25
Bolivar LE Belicosos - 25
Hoyo LE Double Epicure - 15
Hoyo LE Grand Epicure - 10
Ramon Allones LE Macedon - 25
Montecristo 520 - 10
Partagas Serie No.3 - 10

My initial thoughts are to break it down like this Bolivar Oryx or Bolivar Belicosos or Ramon Macedon + Hoyo Double Epicure + Monte 520 or Partagas No.3.

i would get 2 x monte
2x grand epi
1 x no 3

then you get a bit of variety

I want to know where you are going that has such a range of different regionals.

The double epicure comes in a lovely travel humidor. Do you not have a choice of some regular production to make your money go further as even though LE are nice they are not always worth the extra money. Only tried a few and neither of the two RE on the list.

My thoughts on the ones I have tried

Hoyo LE Double Epicure - 15 Lovely box but not much difference to epicure especial
Hoyo LE Grand Epicure - 10 The one I had was nice but bit of wind tunnel
Montecristo 520 - 10 Lovely but had quite a few reports of plugged sticks. When they are good they are very good maybe a classic in the making
Partagas Serie No.3 - 10 Hopefully will turn out great in a few years

Though these all are a bit of jaw breakers

Yep there will be a pretty comprehensive stock of standard sticks too, I just thought (perhaps wrongly) that I should take the opportunity to get some Limited's.

They will be coming back from a short visit to the UAE so I hope I'm correct in assuming that 50 is the limit?

Yeah I unfortunately meant, "They" as in the sticks.... And I certainly couldn't afford more than 50 sticks.

In addition, I really wanted the Double Epicures because the 15 count doesn't eat up too much of the allowance, the box is gorgeous and I really could do with a small count humi anyway.

No not at all what ever floats your boat but if it the choice of having x amount to invest and 25 LE or maybe getting 50 non LE for the same price just depends on what you want really. As I said some LE are wonderful and in my opinion worth the extra dosh but some others are not. Like the double epicure not in my opinion worth the extra dosh but every month when i place a order I still think about a box of them as I am a sucker for LE/RE and packging

The Monte 520 is a seriously nice cigar now .... even better in a year or two.

Think about the 2013 Punch LE. It's an amazing smoke but expensive, so any opportunity to pick up a few at a reasonably cheap price is well worth considering.

The list above will be the only LE's available. This has been confirmed by correspondence with the retailer, so no Punch unfortunately because I have really enjoyed the Punch cigars I have had.

Yea, you make a very good point. The retailer hasn't been quite as forthcoming with a comprehensive price list for the standard production sticks (Probably because it would be huge) though they reply very quickly and will accommodate any specific requests for price and info.

Still to try any of those marc but the grand epi i have un my humi smells amazing and cant wait to light it plus being a LE might want to before they are no longer

If they're coming from the UAE I would go for the REs - I think there is also a Punch Robusto and a Bolivar Emirator in addition to the Bolivar Oryx. The only reason I wouldn't necessarily get LEs and standard production over there is that that are also available in Europe for much less than we pay here in the UK so it might be worth getting something you're less likely to be able to pick up on this continent - that's always my thinking anyway . But then I do love an RE

i'd get the double epicure if i were you. always been looking for a few of those.....
