There's no health warnings on the boxes. Was that the case back then?!? I was only just starting out smoking cigars around 2003 and I wasn't buying boxes at the time

Became EU Law for cigarettes in September 2004 Steve. Cigars followed, but took a little time to phase in Worldwide. (I've a Fonseca box 2009 that Simon Bolivar used to bomb cigars with, it has a the regular Seals and a CCC Curacao sticker but no Health Warning).
Health Warnings were on US tobacco products in the late 90s and Canada followed shortly after. If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

Makes you wonder what they'll put on packages of pot being sold in the great state of Colorado?

Originally posted by searsa1 View PostYes and no. Federal Law trumps state and local law. The issue here will be enforcement. The Feds are turning a blind eye to it at this point and we shall see what happens. The only reason and I mean only it has gotten the green light in Washington St. and Colorado is that it went on the ballot and was approved by a majority of the voters in the respective states. If it had come down from the legislatures my suspicion would be the Feds would have already taken legal action to stop it.'Cigars are a hobby, cigarettes an addiction'

Originally posted by searsa1 View PostAs far as I know there will be/is no importation of pot into Colorado or Washington (legally). There have been steps taken to make sure the product is as advertised. I am not sure to what extent as I have not been reading up on it very closely. I think the states are more focused on the chain of custody at this point. They want the tax money. Colorado issued a press release saying they under estimated the amount of revenue in their projection. It seems when the tax receipts came in they did much better than expected.Licky Licky before Sticky Sticky. - Puff Scotty 22/03/14
