Well, when I was there... every LCDH was telling me: 50! 50!

Sent from my BlackBerry Q10 using Tapatalk for Android.

Without documentation, 20 loose cigars are allowed.
50 cigars are allowed if sealed in original packaging.
I honestly don't know if the glued paper wrapping that peso cigars come in counts as 'sealed original packaging', maybe.
In reality it doesn't matter as no Cuban customs agent is going to give a toss if you have 50 or 100 peso cigars in your bag.
Here is the link to the Cuban customs page regarding exportation of cigars.

Sweet! Not that I am going to Cuba anytime soon, but good information to know.

IMHO, who in their right mind would want to take 50 Peso cigars as their allowance? Especially when the real stuff is so reasonable compared to UK prices

You'd be surprised. Every Habanos cigar can be bought in the UK, peso cigars can't. There are people who want stuff their friends don't have.

I total understand your line of thinking in this situation. If I did go to Cuba I would have no allowance to bring back. Things like artwork or books or educational material could come back with me. Just no....well pretty much anything else. And also because I would have spent all my money on rum.+1 PeeJay
