I've been hearing a load of rumours regarding the 898 but today I was checking out a German retailer that I use and they have a preliminary listing (ie not for sale). Quite exciting news to see it confirmed....

Hi Jeremy, I'd heard 2015 for the H&F Ramon Allones RE but 2014 for the German one but who knows with HSA?!? The listing deffo says 2014 though but things might change. We all know HSA always deliver on time lol

I think it's the same as the old blend. These will fly off the shelf so get your dibs in dearly if you're at all interested!

Coming off the shelves is very true. Even at ?225 per box Just wish they didn't have the history so they would be much cheapper.

A new 898 blend different from the old, discontinued blend in [2003?]
The 898s were very, very good. Then they just got up and left, to everyone's dismay.
Habanos always tends to do this. Punch SS, black prince, LGC no. 1, Dippy no.4, etc.
And now, talk of the fundadores leaving is floating around too.

Nice. I've been idling for some insight on this.
It'll stop my ignorant bashing of a mysterious bureaucracy that is Habanos SA. Might as well be gnomes and elves under Santa and the Easter Bunny for the level of consistency they run.
