        Thanks Simon I can't wait!
Back in Blighty this evening....Not exactly outdoor smoking weather it seems.

Did have a few nice smokes over in Italy looking out to sea.

Treated myself to a few too (will post pics later)

Congratulations Mark and a great competition Jeremy (even if I did need VTG to explain it in small words before I 'got it'!)

Thanks....Butternut took pity on my young cigar stash and pushed me onwards in my cigar journey....I think.

DIC 06 on the farthest right
SEP 07 on the farthest left
The other ones I think I already mentioned?

Note that the Choix Supere is in the dreaded "green" phase of cigars. Tryy not to light it up withing 2 months.
And don't light either one of these up within a week. Let them stabilise from stress in your humidor due to temp and humi harm from transit.
Enjoy and don't forget the review of the LE

Good job you've got a humidor to put them in. Calibrating the hygrometer tonight, post it tomorrow evening.

Probably a silly question, but what is the "Dreaded green phase" ?

it's a purely theoretical phase that a cigar goes through. emitting the most ammonia/nicotine the cigar just smokes in a manner harsh, rough, and "green"
some people here would even say that doesn't exist but that CS is good example of how it exists for me. but others just claim to suck it up and just smoke the rest of the green cigar, but i'm a firm believer of: cigars are meant to be enjoyed. and if i can't enjoy it, why continue? most of the time, it occurs between 2 months to a year of the box date.

a good way to understand how a green cigar tastes is to let either buy a fake cohiba or (accidentally) leave a cigar at 40-50% RH for two weeks or so. some lighter NCs are so light that they exhibit signs of greenery.. the most common ones are the Double Claro ones.
