Petit Belicosos. These were taking a right fair dissing at release .... but all of a sudden 9.2 rating.

Bolivar Petit Belicosos Cigars - Cuban Cigars Reviews

I've never bothered with getting one thinking it wasn't worth it ... have they changed?

Coronas Junior. For some peculiar reason I've always missed this little cigar, possibly because it isn't always available. But miss it I have, even though it seems to me a perfect sized Winter cigar ... are they good, the reviews say YES?

Petit Belicosos - I bought a box at release and they were hideous, full of ammonia and definitely sick. I'm still not convinced but they have got a lot better with age, another couple of years needed for me. I'm happy to send you one to try Tipp.

I did send one to Monkey too, it would be worth hearing his opinion if he has already smoked it.

Regarding the coronas junior, I have yet to try one.

The one you sent me Dave was unfortunately not great as it did not draw well. However the guys I was smoking with when I lit it up (a couple of months ago) were raving as they had coincidently smoked them a few weeks before as said they are now great.

NB - When they came out they were (as well reported) nasty but I remember chatting with Simon Chase who observed they had all the ingredients to age very well.

I have a box of bcj from 2011 which I have had a couple from still a bit young but not in a nasty way, I think one of the best small cigars on the market and looking forward to having a few of the winter

Haven't had the BPB Arf, but the Boli CJ is a finestick, better than the Bonita IMHO & perfect winter smoke after a good meal.

09 LEs and REs have been inconsistent at least and okay at best. Inconsistent. Just like the Mag 48. Odds are that the reviews have just picked up on the 10% of the Bolis that are good. Clusters appear naturally in nature- says probability. I regret smoking any of mine, the cold draws were so good I wanted to keep them just to draw some sweet cold ones. Upon lighting then, they just got reversed.

As for the corona junior, its good. But not as good as it can get. The regular line has been consistently impressive. I'd take a Tubos 1 or Petit corona over it any day.
CJ isn't as good.... Sorry Chris

unless I am wrong (I am not) the bcj is a regular production, the mag48 was loved by many even though I think it is a busted flush (hoping I am wrong and it comes back round) and as for only 10% of bolis being good, well best leave that one alone

No no mate, methinks my comment was way too unorganised and unspecified.
Firstly, the CJ was a respond to tippy's second part of the comment where he wanted an opinion on the CJ. Methinks I implied it was LE, whoops!

And the "10% of all the Bolivar LE2009s being good" is what I meant to say. They're not consistent and have gotten really bad results with some people liking the 1 or 2 they smoked. Hence my conclusion.
Bolivar is one of my favourite marcas and would never say that the majority of them are bad.

And as for the mag48, aye. I have a good 20 or so sleeping for a bit. I don't think they'd get any better. But worth a shot as they're great winter smokes

Thanks Pete. What I'm looking at will be young (very), obviously old would be better but I've smoked young PC and thought them OK.

Can't be bad then Si as I rate the Bonitas as one of my favourite smokes.

Arf, Hope you do enjoy the BCJ after I recommended it but I would always say Boli's need 5yrs to be at there best. Jeremy the Tubo No1 & PC may be better if you going for the strength but for some reason I have never really got on with ever of those, to be honest haven't had that many of them but the few I had didn't suit my palate.
