Montecristo Petit No2

I smoked a couple of these today and I'm very impressed! It stood out at the Festival in Havana and I was hoping that they would be the same when they went into production; so far I have to say I think they've pulled it off!

For me it's not like a (full size) Montecristo No2. I get more sweetness and nuts.

Is it too soon to say that the Petit No2 (and the Petit Edmundo) are the future of the Montecristo brand much more so than the Open range?

I hear that the Open range rival anything else they do, I have a junior resting at the moment and am looking forward to it.

They are certainly an appealing brand with some beautiful products.

I've heard the exact opposite about the Open range - I guess it just proves that everything is down to personal taste

They've never appealed to be personally - there is just always something that appeals more whenever I'm buying, I'm really looking to trying the Petit No. 2, I do love its older brother!

Hi Stephan, thanks for the info. IMO, the Monte PE is the best of the line and if, from what you're saying, the Petit 2 is on a par, I'm very interested in trying them out.

Note to the others, the open range is to be mostly avoided, compared to the normal monte range.

Have to agree on the Open range I'm afraid, worst of the brand I've had, in fact I can't think of many worse Cubans I've had at all. Personally I think they are bland and boring but each to their own I guess. The petit edmundos on the other hand are great IMO.

I've had a couple of the open range sticks to only be dissapointed!

I have a gifted Open Junior in my humi that I will probably leave to gift to someone new to smoking
