  • Good quick smoke

    Morning all,

having a big company get together at the start of November and would like some recommendations for a good smoke that won't last too long.

Dont nut want to spend hours outside in the cold.

Suggestion would be lovely. Would like something strong. Not really got as specific flavour I prefer yet.

    Thanks

Possibly bolivar coronas junior or partagas short? Check the 'cigar reviews' site on the net to get a feel for these two. It will also give you leads to reviews of similar sized cigars. Happy hunting

I too suggest a Partagas Short.
I was extremely surprised and how much of an enjoyable smoke it was.
Mine lasted approx 30mins, and got a great 'bang for my buck!'.
Worth the money in my opinion.

H.Upmann Half Corona's are pretty decent, considering their price.
Don't be fooled though by the size. These can last 45mins+

I'm also in the process of trying out a few other short smokes, something to
complement a little coffee break, or as a cheaper 'go to' cigar (30-40mins).

      All the best.

Cohiba Exquisitos is my go-to for a short satisfying 30 minute smoke. Tenner each, 250 for a box of 25 at CGars.

I like the minis for a really quick smoke. As long as you smoke them just like a cigar, they won't bite you like a cigarette.

They may be a little too quick for this thread, so just chain two or three of em

Superb response as always. I have seen a few samplers that involve many of the suggestions. Think I will go for a set of five. Then I have a few for the cold winter months.

                    Thanks all

I've only had the monte 5s out of all the sticks mentioned here as far as I can remember. They're nice but can burn too harshly if you forget that they're only little...

Let me add to my previous post another little short smoke...
Yesterday after work I smoked a Montecristo Open Junior for the first time.
Great aroma, very pleasant mild smoke. Extremely enjoyable with a cappuccino.
Worth its price for sure. A worthy little short smoke. An ideal coffee break smoke.

                          Lots of great suggestions already

An anytime of the day cigar that is tiny but packs a lot of flavour for me is the El Rey Del Mundo Demi Tasse.

If you can get them, La Flor De Cano Short Robusto is pretty good-they were a Regional Edition about 3 years ago I think. It's a fairly strong, woody smoke thats well worth a try.

Just remembered, I've also had a few Hoyo Petit Robustos. Some have been very harsh but others have smoked wonderfully with a huge range if flavours in such a short stick. Probably worth ageing them before smoking them.
