Ooooohhh superb, I will keep my fingers crossed as that one was a fair chunk cheaper than the others.

Easy solution TJ ..if they can't provide the box code..I can't provide my cash..All the vendors I use will give you the box code, even if your buying a single..if they don't they're not worth shopping with IMHO...

& in answer to the OP.. it's all subjective & personal taste..only time & smoking will give the answers your looking for..

            This is scarry!

That's EXACTLY what I do!. As mi pappy, Pappy
Coro used to say: "No Dates, No Dollars." (He actually said "No Pesos," but it sounds better saying "dollars.")
Perhaps we should compare notes sometime!

Ummm, el P! You already used that emoticon in this thread!

            (Hurumph!) My bad....how's this?

              OH MY GOOD GOD

I can't believe it, I genuinely can not believe it. The smell, oh jesus christ the smell, I thought I was pretty familiar with tobacco, no, I have never ever been anywhere near tobacco. If cubans are made from tobacco then I have been smoking dessicated dog turd my entire life. I am shocked, utterly shocked. The smell, my god it is heady, aromatic, layered, sweet, complex, beautiful. Shit, this is going to be expensive, and that is without smoking a cigar yet. I just can't get my head around that smell, how is it possible this is basically the same plant product as everything else out there I have been around for pretty much my entire life? THIS is a revelation.

My first order arrived today (and the seller included some cedar inserts for my tupperdor...awesome stuff, well impressed with the service) and here are the pics:

Made me smile your reaction to your 'first' order.
Makes the anticipation of the second and third etc. even more fun.

If you ever have the money available, I'd advise to give the Behike 52 a shot.
That's my simple (Novice / smoking cigars for the past year) advice.
                      All the best.

More than half way down the dip 1 at the moment, I am no sophisticated epicurean, connoisseur or aficionada in any respect let alone cigars but I am thoroughly enjoying this experience.

I also now know I can read tippexx's reviews and get a good idea of what is in store:

My cutter hadn't arrived yet so I used a razor blade and slowly rolled the cigar on the blade, but the draw was a touch restrictive, not plugged as it burned pretty evenly all the way, but as if I hadn't cut the cap far enough onto the shoulder (being scared not to go too far and unravel the thing lol)

The first third, or less, probably the first 2-3 cms, was fairly reasonable, nothing taste wise close to the smell, but just a generally really nice smooth taste and smoke in comparison to the harsh ammonia of the ubiquitous hamlets and such like so that was a plus lol

Then changes occurred, every now and again I would drag differently and new flavours would make themselves apparent. If I drew, breathed out through the nose and drew again through my mouth while exhaling through the nose, there appeared at the top of my palate at the rear of my mouth a smooth, and it sounds stupid but a "white" almost florally, I want to say lavender coating but it isn't lavender I just can't think what it is, maybe it is the corned beef tippexx referred to, but it isn't savoury as such what I am getting.

Occasionally I have accidentally inhaled as a result of totally forgetting the etiquette and just getting into my usual automatic smoking "style", actually, that was equally smooth and gives a really good "lung hit" quite aside from anything else lol

I have been smoking it for about 1hr 5 mins and have 3" left to the very end so maybe 1.5-2" of smokeable cigar left

I have just had to relight it now as the distraction of typing meant I stopped nurturing my new best friend lol

Yer, a box of these will be forthcoming if I can save the pennies before they are no longer available

p.s. yes the behike drew my attention through my initial researches and at some stage one will be sampled, I have a cohiba siglo II on the way so that will have to suffice for now though

Dazzer, often Cubans go bitter at the end; we want to smoke as much as possible but try to stop before it goes too bitter for us (different for everyone). Only Churchill used to ditch them after they were half smoked, I would guess most put them down around the level of the band. I have gone down to a few cms on really superb cigars but in general I would say I usually put it down around 1 1/2 - 2". My point being that if you go a bit too far on a stick that is turning slightly bitter then you can get a quite bitter aftertaste & you can end up wanting another smoke to get rid of it! Re-starting or even re-lighting under 2" can increase this problem IMO. Just a thought for when you come across such a smoke. Here's some a butts I prepared earlier: my most amazing flav packed cigar, a 70's No5 Monte.No5.70s.2008.06.24_0047.jpgMonty's big DC brother Monte.DC.2001.2008.11.18_1124.jpg, the smallest LGC No3LGC.No3.2010.05.12_1412.jpgthe rarest?R&J.Tubos.No3.2011.08.11.IMG_1593.jpg

hahaha pic 1 looks exactly like how far I smoked that today, I did get some bitterness, I presume it was as a result of the heat building up? Anyway, I persisted, took my time and it morphed into a very intense kind of clove/menthol cooling anaesthetic feeling/taste on the lips and tongue... I kinda enjoyed it with not really being sure what to make of it so carried on experiencing it right to the (bitter) end lol

Was a thoroughly excellent experience, I am dying to light up again, but I need to relax and show a bit of willpower lol

It lasted me over 2 hrs, so I don't know why, i only re-lit once and didn't leave it for long to go out but a solid 2 hour smoke was really impressive I thought given it isn't one of the monster sized cigars.

Looks like I definitely smoked too far down lol I will keep an eye on the next one as that will most likely be a petit corona so will bare that in mind.

Thank you for the information mate, love knowing the correct etiquette around them.
