  • Partagas Petit Coronas Especiales

Has anyone any experience or opinions of these please? Ideally based on smoking more than one stick although any input is appreciated.

I'm only a newbie to cigars so I'm not sure how valuable my opinion will be, but I purchased a petit coronas sampler from CGars a couple of months ago and these and the the Bolivar PCs stood out head and shoulders above the rest. I bought a box of each on that basis and have smoked about 8 of each so far (box dates - Bolivar Feb 12, Partagas April 10). So far I prefer the Partagas, and haven't had a bad one (one of the Bolivars was plugged). Bit of a kick for a small cigar, and lots of pepper.

Toshi, you're a star, thanks. I've never had one so you're ahead of me there

I like the Boli PC a lot and to read your thoughts is interesting and helpful. I'm finding myself very short of smoking time due to commitments and am trying to explore quicker smokes.

      Thanks for chipping in

That's really my problem too - 45 minutes is possible most nights so the PC is what I find I smoke most often. Happy to send you a couple to try if you want to PM me your address

It's a bit of a bugger considering this pursuit of ours takes time, free time, to enjoy.
That's a really kind offer regarding the PCs, thank you I don't think you have PMs yet, but you have tipped my interest into the purchase zone

I'm totally the same CJ, I never have an hour + to have a longer smoke. I have tried the mini's and the clubs but they just don't cut the mustard.

Buy yourself a box of Siglo Is then. Should be perfect for just that!
I've got a box here going for 250 (160 quid?). that seems quite cheap for a box of 25

I'm surprised to hear that some have so little time - and less than an hour at that. Is time really so tight or is it a case of filling the available time with other pursuits, prioritising activity over relaxing?

In the film, Men in Black III, dire circumstances necessitated the eating of pie to add clarity to an otherwise stressful and chaotic unfolding of events. Was it the pie or was it the act of eating that brought a sense of equanimity, or was it simply the importance of stepping out of the maelstrom that resulted in the effective execution of saving the day?

Now, a cigar is the more refined manner of reflecting on the life's highs and lows and simply must not be hurried. If pie saved the world from an alien invasion how much more a 60-90 minute Cuban?

It's important in many ways to stop and pause.

                  Love the MIB thing :alien:!!

Those are my exact words (fiiine, not EXACT words, but the exact meaning ) when my mates ask me if i'm addicted to nicotine. I tell them god no, one smokes cigars just to be calm. And then they rebut with the fact that nicotine is calming and that's why i smoke.
Then i give them the same talk you just did. That it's not the nicotine that calms me down (haven't smoked in a good fortnight! and i'm feeling fine ). It's the fact that I have an hour - two hours to just relax after a day or just to talk with my mates. It's the fact that I don't have anything to do and the cigar will keep me focused on something nice and lovely. It's the fact that it's not really explainable by mere words
In the end, they get the gist of it . And even sit down and join me when i offer em a stick

Partagas PCE are superb smokes imo, i think i only have 2-3 left from a box of 25, can't go wrong with these and i only had 1 out of the whole box that was a little tight on the draw, not plugged but just didn't perform like the rest which were spot on in flavour and construction....i need to order more

I've never bought a box of the Party Petit Coronas Especiales but had five or six singles from different boxes over the years. I find them to be one of the stronger Partagas', from what I remember a lot of spice. Definitely stronger than the Bolivar Petit Coronas. These Party definitely want to be noticed when you smoke them!

I agree with smokin .... a very agreeable cigar!

The 02 deleted Petit Coronas and 09 deleted Princess are IMO better .... but VERY difficult to find now!
If you want to, you can.

Only had a few of the Party PC Esp. Found them to be very good, consistent, and Party 'plus'. Good lengthening of the Short, similar, perhaps a little punchier. Not quite as good as the Short for me, but still damn fine!

Very well said, more or less how I view a cigar too. Can't deny that sometimes that experience has to be crow-barred into a time slot, but can't be just turning off and sitting back for as long as one fancies.
