    Gran Cano eh!?

Britain’s cigar import company has a special Cuban smoke planned for its 225th anniversary. The cigars are already rolled, but they won’t go on sale for two years. Hunters & Frankau, the importer of Cuban cigars for the United Kingdom, has created the Ramon Allones Hunters and Frankau 225. The cigars are being shipped from Cuba to the United Kingdom this spring, but Hunters will age them until the 225th anniversary of the company, which is in 2015. | Cigar Aficionado

I saw 1 box for around $1100, expensive box indeed... still to much to ask even though the tobacco is from 2008...

Not gonna lie, thats pretty bloody cheap for me. Here in Toronto, A simple box of Siglo VIs are 1400+tax anyways.
Would you be interested if i could get my hands on a Cuban box for around 500 or so?? Split that up?
No promises though, so don't quote me, haha.

Interesting to see the 'Gran Cano' has broken internet cover. I understand there was supposed to be a testing/blending at the festival but the cigar was not ready/right. For me this is good news as it looks like Hunters are pushing hard to get the blend right.

The Short Robusto was/is stunning so looking forward to these ...but not the price.

Do you think they will sell singles for us mere mortals?

Is anyone else having trouble reading the article? Thought the link was squiffy so I went to the CA news page directly and followed the on-site link, still no luck.

Couldn't agree more..it is quite a little stunner; can only hope some of the original RE flavours make a successful transition into the bigger cigar..could be great if they get it right...

Sorry Simon, thought it maybe my link, but seems to be an issue with their site at the moment

Maybe they pulled it. My understanding was this was not public yet?

I can read it fine. Both sound really interesting. I shudder to think what the price on the RA 225 will be.........
