I bought a petit coronas sampler from CGars last month (http://www.cgarsltd.co.uk/cgars-best...er-p-7120.html) and have been slowly working my way through them.
Some have been ok, one or two quite disappointing, and I still have the Diplomaticos, Cohiba Siglo II and the Fonseca to try but three have stood out for me as being lovely smokes already. The three favourites so far were the Partagas Petit Coronas Especiales (smoked 2 weeks ago and although the wrapper cracked just by the band which ruined the last third, it was lovely and strong, with lots of peppery goodness), the Bolivar Petit Coronas (smoked it last Tuesday and thoroughly enjoyed it - lots of rich smoke, good draw and an even burn all the way), and the gem I smoked last night - the Romeo y Julieta No.3 tubed (this surprised me as the other Romeo y Julieta - the Petit Coronas - was one of the more disappointing ones).
I'm finding this vitola produces about an hour smoke, so it's quite a handy one to grab when time is an issue.
As a newbie to cigars it's been interesting to find such a difference between cigars of the same / similar vitola (I had previously assumed that they would be fairly similar) and it's certainly helping me discover what I enjoy most. Now the weather is getting better I'm hoping to spend much more time sampling and learning
