  • What's on your cigar wish list?

Interested to know what's on your current wish/ buy list. Mine is as follows:

    - Montecristo 520; these are great now and will just get better and better IMO. I also think its good to buy now, just look at the price of Sublimes these days!

    - Partagas Lusitania Gran Reserva; I haven't tried any of the GR releases, definitely out of my normal price range but I love the regular Lusitania and early reviews if this cigar are very good.

    - Aged Cohiba something! Had an aged Robusto a while back and it was up there with the best cigars I've been fortunate to smoke. Tried some since from different cabs which haven't been as good. I'm searching for something great so any suggestions welcome!

    Cheers, MB

Yeah, both the 520 and the Lusi GR (apart from anything else...look amazing) . Quite fancy trying LCdH Upmann Royal Robusto and Hoyo Epi Deluxe, and definitely up for a box or two or RA Petit Belicosos...reckon they'll age nicely.

But would love to try the Cohiba 1966; have heard some great things, but the price makes ya eyes water

The Cohiba 1966 is lovely. It is a hefty price though.

Had a 520 last night and whilst I did enjoy it I think there are nicer sticks for the price.

Had the RA Petit Belicoso last Friday and now there is a beautiful smoke. Great price, and it's a RE. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1365251452.256772.jpg

My current wishlist is some Monte PE's simply because I've run out, some Flor de las Antillas Toro's as its CA Cigar of the year 2012 and I haven't tried one yet, Alec Bradley Black Market because they're such good value, and waiting for the two new montes which are supposed to be released this year. Will probably try a couple before I pull the trigger on boxes.

....and, fancied the idea of an aged box/cab of Hoyo Double Coronas for sometime; seen them come up at Mitchells Auction, but really need to understand more about what to consider & look for?the aged ol' question...would I ever have the time to smoke 'em too!

They're definitely worth making time for. I've got one in the humidor from 4 years ago which was a box split with a couple mates and I just can't bring myself to smoking it because they're so darn good. Catch 22

The worst feeling in smoking - and has just reminded me of the one cigar which has to be on my wish list. I have four remaining La Gloria Cubana Gloriosos (2008 UK RE) - simply outstanding cigars, and now I'm so low I can't bear to smoke them.

To join them, I'd go with some Dippy No2s, some aged Partagas Shorts, and some Chohiba Maduro 5 Secretos or Genios. (Maybe a couple of ERdM Petit Coronas for nostalgia's sake too).

Indeed the problem with owning the ones you love! Same for me with Sublimes, Gloriosos & Cohiba LE 2006....each time I promise myself one...always put it off at the last minute!

Haven't tried the RA Petit Belicosos so I'll definitely try one next time I'm at Ajays

Punch Serie d'Oro No 1 (in a totally different league to the latest weak effort) .... Partagas Princess .... Partagas Seleccion Privada No 1 .... any Cuban Laguito No 2, I've plenty but there isn't a bad one and they're just such a convenient smoking size. I would like more Partagas and RyJ Tres Petit Coronas, but have resigned myself to watching my boxes slowly dwindle away!
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

aside from the fact that belfast (nay, northern ireland) has a rubbish cuban selection and i can't see the point in buying singles from the mainland, there's loads i'd love to try! cohiba lancero and corona especial are up there..... so is the monte 'A' and cuaba diademas! but the main cigars i'd love to try are the monte sublime, RyJ duke and bolivar petite belicosos! i keep meaning to get down to dublin, i'm sure jj foxes and the decent cigar emporium would have what i'm looking!
