Cohiba Piramides EL 2006 or the Cohiba Piramides 2012 Extra

I am undecided between the Cohiba Piramides EL 2006 or the Cohiba Piramides 2012 Extra, both at more or less the same price. Any one here who has tried both of them?

The 2012 is a better stick as it doesn't have an aggressive maduro wrapper to ruin it like the 2006EL. You can probably gather that i have a very low opinion of the 2006.

I woold also say the 2012 is far too young and probably too big. The last 1966 i smoked wasn't bad. All bettered by a Sig iv/vi with 5 or more years. Just mho of course

Not bad at all and I would have taken part, except that I live in Berkshire and Canary Wharf is too far, especially after a night of Cigars and whisky. If you ever do a West London episode, then please count me in, especially if the Scotch is Single Malt.

I wouldn't buy either of them. Like Monk's already said, the Siglo 4 to 6 are considered better.

I really like the 2012 Piramides Extra, fantastic cigar IMO

I only tried the Piramides 2012 Extra and was a bit disappointed. It was a good cigar but felt it lacked the strength and complexity of the classic or siglo line.

I i've only had an 06LE and found it somewhat lacking in character.
