ERdM Elegantes (Discontinued production not Swiss RE)

Anyone know anything about or smoked one of these (28g discontinued 2002). And given a choice of boxes, which would you choose. ERdM Elegantes or Punch Ninfa (33g discontinued 2002)?

Take the Ninfa.
The Elegantes are famous for having the highest rate of VERY tight cigars among all habanos…
They taste wonderfully, like a longer, smoother demi tasse, but really, that's a lot of money and a lot of efforts for a very small amount of smoke.

Haven't tried the Elegantes but at 28 gauge they wouldn't appeal to me anyway. The Punch at 32 gauge is a little better in size - I know I have smoked one or two in the distant past but can't say it's a cigar that lingers in memory. My choice would be based on ring gauge so probably not the best yardstick.

Arf, the Elegentes is the same as the Panatela Largas, no real difference I beleive. The few PL I have smoked were fine, no tighter draw than others of this size. I seem to remember you gave it a rather nice write up. Might be interesting to try the Elgentes to see if you could determine than difference but buying a box & finding they are all too tight would be a rather costly excerise. I rather enjoyed the Punch Nifa I tried - you pays ya money, you take your chances.
