Neck and neck between Partagas and Cohiba....thought Monte would have more of a showing. Surprised no-one's picked RA!?!?! I nearly did myself but it was the limited range that stopped me. I picked Partagas to hedge my bets even though Partagas doesn't figure in my top 3....the sheer range was what did it...............

For me, it's the range of Partagas cigars still being produced that makes it a no brainer.
I fact if Partagas only had the 898V, P2, D4 and Shorts, it would still be my choice.
Then add the Serie du Conn series, Lusitanias, Mille Fleurs etc. etc. ..

Good selection.
That certainly looks like a fair selection Stevieboy, and there are a couple there which are no longer in production.
I smoked a box of the Epicure Especial when they first came out and I thought they were a great smoke, but the No2 is still a tough one to beat.
I have probably smoked more of these than any other cigar.
Still not tried the Regalos, yet!will try the R&J Escudos first.Last edited by whisky77; 16-05-2009, 10:22 AM."Keep your eyes peeled, your arse up, head down, and your ear to the gound" WHISKY77

Des dueux is also very good, which is there twice! go for it stevieboy, the guy that owns this site is a very knowledgeable cigar smoker and source's a lot of his stock with age on, so may well be 6/7 years old, if you can keep des dueux until it reaches the second maturation period (the long chain phenol polymers (tannic taste) break down to single aromatic phenols which then creates wonderful array of sweet aromatic exotic hardwood flavours) they are exceptional, but only with age! (had one in Hong Kong 2 years or so ago (1993/4 vintage I think) the slightly dry Hoyo woody taste become's a little sweeter, creamier with more complexity,
