Thanks Donks...not enough RE LE 50+ RG's for most people but I take cost into the equation so somewhat better cigars can find themselves further down the list....now if the Monte GR was ?20 cheaper it would have made it.....

You know, Scotty, you reinforce my view that a top ten should be a PERSONAL top ten - forget these so called aficionado lists. The SigloV, Montecristo No. 2, RyJ Cazadores and HU Belvedere would certainly be in my top ten too. I bow to your taste !

I struggled with articulating my top smokes pre-Xmas, will have a go next time I have a moment to think of what would make a top 10...

Sadly, due to a significant hiatus from the forum and cigar smoking, I've been in the unfortunate position of not smoking ten different cigars this year I'll be looking at other's lists for inspiration.

Cry me a river, lad. Begging for bombs went out with the egg man? Or was it the walrus?

How assumptive is he, ay Stevie? Jeez, I guess I'll have to put the ol' dog straight.

Some clarification: It was a hiatus se?or, not a hernia
If you read my post again properly, going through the 'small print' you'll see I typed that I hadn't smoked ten, not that I hadn't got 'em

I certainly couldn't come up with ten different for 2012 - I tend to stick with my personal favourites but really should explore non-Cubans a bit more. My only venture outside Cubans last year was a box of Don Tomas Presidents (smoked 21) and a single Mocha Supreme Patron. Yes - must try harded in 2013.

(Hurumph!) Good one, Ray Gay, but I'm afraid you have to be a bit of an insider to get that one.
Haha! You may be right, ya' stupid lookin' dawg smiley....and it wouldn't hurt to see the title of this post, for all you viewing this on the so-call "TapaTalk."

I think these personal top 10s are really usefull , like you all say the aficionado ones are almost paid for adverts! I take a lot more notice of cigars that have been smoked by real people and listen to their opinions maybe try their suggestions then make my own mind up, also I would like to see top 10s of cigars to avoid! but one mans rubbish and all that....

                              Spot on, muchacho!

There are many, many folks on the interwebs reviewing cigars - some good, some not so good- offering their opinions to those who will listen. Without mentioning any names, we have a few lads right here on this fine forum that occasionally post up some pretty good reviews, a few of which trend towards my preferences, so I pay more attention to their reviews than I do others.

                              But that's just me.
