Apart from some of the lads from a previous forum, these seem to have been forgotten, but were always one of my favourites back from the 90s. We even kept a box behind the bar at our favourite lunchtime retreat I always considered them an unsung hero in the UK, and was pleased when we found new (old) stocks starting to be offered back in the mid 2000s. They became very popular with that forum and I even remember trying to convince one of the guys (Simon?) at Hunters (at a herf) to try to get them reissued
I've had to do a little editing on this (I've removed my e-mail address and that of the source) so not to break the Rules .... and I promise not to call Mitch expensive again .... or for a little while at least!

Dear Arthur,
First of all we would like to apologize for the delay of our reply. This was an insulated incident, due to changes we were having, and it is not how we treat our customers. Below you can find all the details you need about Partagas Charlottes.
1.It is a box of 25
2.The box code is: FPG-OLSO
3.As you can understand from the code above the manufacture date is May 1990
The box is open and the end of its production ended in 2002
This particular box was imported in Cyprus in November 2005 from an authorized dealer, from Latin America.
We are sending them via EMS post and returns are available.
The price of the box is only €450 (including shipping).
If you are interested in other aged Cuban Cigars please let us know. We have Vitolas with product date 1999 onwards.
Again we apologize for the delay and we will be really pleased to assist you.
For further details and/or any quarries please do not hesitate to contact us.
Regards

If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!
No it's one that will not not be heard... Fail then !
So you would not want to promote them too obvious ?
To be honest, I would pay ?400 for some 90s charlottes, they are quite different from post 96 , as you would expect, and would be worth it just from the memories.
But they would have to be perfect.
Just worried that their Latin American source may be Dominica's EBay site
