    Gday all,
first post on here, be gentle! I mentioned in the introduce yourself section that my wife and I are moving from Australia to the UK, more specifically Worcestershire, England, to live/work for a year (anyone wanna hook me up with work eeeeey??) anyways, i looked on the cuban cigar website at the UK RE's (http://cubancigarwebsite.com/list.as...rtorder=region), they look awesome! would love to be able to get my hands on as many as possible, so i wanted to know, are they HTF? stocked at many B&M's? I'm guessing there will be a hefty price attached, but thats ok!
PS, mods or someone, let me know if this is the wrong section to post this discussion in!
    cheers guys

    Hi Alex
    Welcome to the Forum.
You will be fairly close to Birmingham and the Prince Pub, an oasis of cigars in the dessert of the midlands. It's also sells a good mixture of Cubans and non Cubans which suits any pocket.

In addition, Keith the landlord is a really good guy.

If you are heading to that London let me know and I will set you on the right track. But whan it comes down to it, thanks to HMRC we do pay a lot for our cigars I'm afraid.

      G'day mate.
Welcome to the U.K, tho at this time of year i'd rather be going in the opposite direction. I hope you find your cigars/shops and I'm not going to give yoiu any advice on that one. As a bit of a newbie to this site and not understanding heaps could you tell me what HTF and B@M maens. There is an awful lot I can't 'plug-into' on this site ( I'm a bit new to computing and can't navigate around it ). Anyway, won't ramble on. No wucking forries Just thought i'd ask. Colly

B&M means "Brick and Mortar" as in actually stores rather than online retailers. A translation for HTF doesnt spring to mind,

Well, it wasn't the first thing that popped into my mind, but it works for me.

I'd go out with Catalina Joy again, but she's HTF!

Yeah, sorry, HTF is Hard to Find. its a step below ITF (impossible...) and the the top ranking is RHS (Rocking Horse...).
@Nicwing, we are heading to London, actually kicking off the whole saga there, staying in Southbank for 4 nights when we arrive on the 27th. Don't worry, I'm used to paying a pretty penny for good sticks, the Aus govt make sure of that too, dont get me started on our ridiculous plain packaging laws!!

when I was in oz it was something like 15 dollars for a pack of cigarettes! what does the tax on Cubans bring them to?

normal prices for things like PSD4 is about $20-$22 aus, which i think is about 14 or 15 pounds. (my keyboard doesnt have a pounds symbol...)
cheapest ive ever bought were at an event were they had a special on half-coronas, petite coronas etc, which were all $10 (about 6.50 pounds), but that was massively reduced as the retailer had to get rid of them before the plain packaging laws kicked in.
most guys in Aus that i know buy from overseas, as they sometimes slip past customs. from what ive read, this isnt the case in the UK. ive never actually been to a B&M!

Whilst in London, you may want to download Nic Wing's cigar walk app and take the magical mystery tour. There's no better introduction to the London cigar scene!
