Wow, interesting comments. Does anyone have any intention of keeping any for 10, 15, or in monkey's case, 30 years.
On a more skeptical note, have Bolivar launched this as special (LE), as do the whisky makers with their whisky, as a marketing ploy to charge over the odds for something that's not really anything more than standard gear?

Habanos SA have been releasing Limited Editions since 2000, with the idea being to launch a blend with aged (and limited?) tobaccos for a limited run. Whether or not this is a ploy... is for the smoker to decide. I for one like the variety that LEs bring to the market, and the pricing for LEs isn't too different from regular production. For example I remember being able to buy the Bolivar at 10 Manchester Street for ?12.50...

Have to agree Jimmeh, some of the most memorable smokes I have had in recent years have been LE and RE. There have been a few disappointments along the way, and there are a few I would certainly not pay money for again, but in general I really look forward to trying them out.

I tried these at launch and thought much the same as everyone else but had one at a Tomtom's event a few weeks ago and it smoked really well. Based on that (limited) experience I'd say they are good now and- like most Bolivars- they will also age well.

Not personally, but as you've resurfaced the thread, I might seek one out now. If you're passing through Dubai, and they have them I would say definitely grab some as the price point will be most favourable[emoji106]

I smoked one a few months back and was very impressed, though at the moment I would still say the regular BBF is better. If you're looking for RE Petit Belicosos I would recommend QdO Belicosos Royale which is superb, even now so shortly after release.

The first Petit BBF 2009 I had, the first half was AMAZING? second half flavours disappeared.
Second stick I then sampled, was a disappointment.
Blooming tempted to try a third...

The one i had i realy enjoyed it stronger than the bolivar rc but in my opinion more taste kind of a strong espresso coffee
diffinetly a finger burner would say.

The RC is by far their mildest smoke!
