I've decided that I want to treat myself and splash out on a single top of the range cigar. I don't really have a good reason for doing this other than I've been working hard recently and feel that I deserve it. But I need to find something that meets the right criteria:
1. It can't be something that I've already tried. This means that some of the best standard production smokes are excluded (my usual special occasion smokes are Lusitanias, Cohiba Lanceros, Sir Winstons and RyJ Churchills).
2. It can't cost more than ?40 for a single. This really is the most that I'm prepared to spend on one cigar (and only as a one-off!)
3. It should be ready to smoke now. I'm not looking for a stick to age because I plan to smoke it soon.
So, with those points in mind I've made a little shortlist of sticks that I know I can get my hands on:
Gold band Trinidad Fundadores (1999)
Behike (which one though?)
Monte Sublimes
Cohiba 1966 LE
Which of these would you choose? Or can you suggest any other excellent sticks? I'd appreciate advice and I'm open to offers if anyone has something special in their humi that they don't mind parting with.
Thanks guys.
