This is why the first thing you must learn in this hobby is to evaluate a cigar with your fingers: hardness/softness, weight, etc.

Is it normal to get Siglo's that are too tight to smoke?

Sometimes, this is just too easy...even from my iPhone.
To monkeboy: you should know!
To lil'stick: I let Catalina Joy determine if my stick's too hard or too soft.

With the Siglo, you have to make sure there well humidified, this will give you the opportunity to thoroughly check the cigar for it's sponginess and any tight spots. To do this place cigars nearer to the humidification device or underneath it as moisture falls, this will get them nice and moist, then when checking by pressing all the way along the stick, with the extra moisture there will be no risk of cracking the cigar.
If all is good and you feel no tight spots, which i find is normally near the band area if there are any, then dry box it before you decide to smoke it, keep a check on it over a day or two till you start to hear that crisp ruffle when compressed near the foot of the cigar, then it should be ready to smoke....i'm doing the same thing right now with my siglos. And obviously if there are tight spots then ask the retailer to replace them or give you a refund.

And (2) that puro is so fat (How fat is it?)....that puro is so fat, that even the fine Cuban torcedores couldn't plug 'em!
