What are your thoughts about Cuban cigars in Canada? Trustworthy?

Here is why I am asking. My pipe retailer in Canada sells not only pipes but cuban cigars

I have hatched a plan to ask about trading a couple of pipes in his next order for an equal value in sticks. The prices are higher than if I bought in the UK, but it doesn't matter to me so much because I'm essentially trading raw material cost plus my labour, working out less expensive than UK purchases. Of course, if Canada is rife with fakes, it wouldn't be worth it. Thoughts?

Paul, I don't think there is a risk to get fakes, but damn these prices are steep!!!!!.
There is a reason most of the cigar forum guys from Canada buy from web vendors in HK, Australia, Switzerland, etc.

I had relatives on holiday in Canada a few weeks ago and as the price difference was so poor I didn't bother getting them to pick any up for me. From what I understand the Canadians are clobbered worse for tax than we are!
