Someone the misses knows got these from the dom rep and asked if i wanted to buy any....he was selling them at a very good price though $60-$75 a piece or $350 per box of 10........i think NOT..

Oh I don't doubt he'll make his price sooner or later.I mean I suppose it's fair to say (?) that at first glance the sticks don't look entirely unappealing,it's just that what in the hell are they???

No offence to your friends but I'd like to think that, even before I got into cigars as a hobby, I'd have found those suspect. I know that Cuba isn't exactly renowned for consistency and attention to detail but that box looks rough and the bands aren't much better.

Yep, I have seen worse. THe box staining is rather poor but clever trick charging so much; if he was undercharging people might be more suspicious.

Guys my hat goes of to all of you Being a wet behind the ears newbie I would have bought them. Its people like me that would be targeted. How do you spot a fake? what is it that you see or don't see that I need to know. It would be an idea for someone to set up a guide to spotting fakes. Even a separate button on the forum page where forum members could post advice and experiences. It seems its the Cohiba's that are the favorites of the forgers. It would be good to get a moderators opinion. We need protecting
