Upmann No.2 vs Connie 1

I've never had much luck with the Upmann line, other than the Mag 46. Just wondered if someone could tell me how the Upmann 2 compares in flavour to Connie 1.

I got a box of Connie 1 and found out that they need age on them to be any good, kinda wish i'd gone for No.2 or PSP2.

I don't have a lot of experience with the #2 but I just love the Connie 1. I'm working my way through a box from FEB 10 and they have been nothing short of spectacular. The best tea flavours I've ever had in a cigar, creamy at firs, getting darker as the stick progresses.

I have an April '11 box and all I got was very light tobacco taste. Although, they've had a little humi time since the first one a try so I think I'll give one another try this week.

The H.Upmann No.2 is my favorite current production pyramid. I highly recomend them.

Never had much luck with the Connie No.1's

I've had a couple of 2s and they have been really good smokes. Between that and the P2 you can't go wrong for a pyramid.

All fine smokes in their own rights. Seems to me the issue isn't difference but antiquity. We, and I include myself, are all a little guilty of impatience sometimes. Shop around, or better still, ASK your vendors and there's really no reason why either of those boxes can't be picked-up with better dates. It may cost a few Pounds, Euros or whatever more, but is IMHO usually worth it.

hello my friend it depends on what type of flavor you like the #2 has a wood type taste and the # 1 has more of a robust taste imo. they both are good after a good meal however. or coffee. cheers and carry on
