Hi all, just wondered if anyone has any recommendations for how long to keep a Lancero before smoking one. I have just bought a box of 5 and am very tempted to try one and leave the others for maybe 6 months or so before trying another - does this sound reasonable to people?

What is the box code?
Jean at JJ Fox won't recommend a cigar less that 5 years old. I don't expect you are that patient, I wouldn't be.
I have two from 2002 and I'm working hard to resist them because I've smoked one and they are sensational.Nic

My advice: hide 1 or 2 at the bottom of your humi, forget about them for several years. A well aged Lancero is a unique experience (it's a bit like smoking peanut butter)…

Don't leave them in the cardboard for years though, much better to take them out.
If you have never smoked a lancero they are often better slightly dryer that a big guage cigar. Also take your time, don't puff too hard or it will overheat and not taste good.Originally posted by Simon BolivarLittle medical correction there Steve, you will surely die...but not from smoking these
