  • Cohiba Single Boxed Cigar Question

    Hi all ,

Know virtually zilch about Cuban cigars but i have a single one bought in Dominican Rep about 8 years back (about 45cm long) Its boxed and in great condition. Was packed away in a box with other souvenirs.

All that i can see through the packaging is "Cohiba La Habana Cuba" with the logo...... Picture 8.jpg

Is this worth anything? or should i chuck it away or smoke it?

    Opinions are most welcome

    a) It's a fake Cuban, probably made of floor scrapings, or worse banana leaf (which can poison you)
    b) 8 years without a humidifier......a couple of months without a humidor kills a cigar.

    CHUCK IT ASAP.

I got in first to be kind. Hopefully everyone else will be too!

Yeah It is what It is. a souvenirs nice thing to remember your holiday by but would not try smoking it, neither would I see it being collectable by people but you never know.

You sure about the poisoning thing about banana leaves Deano, they are a very common thing in other countries to cook in.

If it looks nice, put it on the mantle (or a shelf somewhere) and make up a silly story about Castro giving it to you for none cigar smoking friends... But only ever tell said story after a few bottles of wine have been consumed.

I used to have a box of Chocolate cigars I bought in Berlin, managed to convince a friend that they were given to me by someone and that they were once owned by Churchill.

Indeed! I always demand cellophane on my genuine Fauxhibas.
