Morning all. I am wondering what your opinions are on the GM. I know most (if not all) of you love them, but how do they compare to the number 2 profile wise? Also, the BBF seems like it may be worth a try but I have heard that they are/can be a bit of a brute in the strength department . I am only looking to buy one of these so which would you recommend? Personally I am swinging towards the GM due to it having been discontinued. Any thougts guys? James

IMHO the GM is everything you would expect from a bolie with some very nice sweet honey notes thrown in a stella cigar.
I cant remember my last No2 but the BBFs and the petite BBfs can be pretty in your face and unlike the other bolies well some of them you dont want to smoke them young trust me.
IMO buy two one to smoke now one to lay down to age if you liked the first they are going to get hard to find and if not ive got plenty of royal coronas, some BBFs not petites though and i might have some No2s knocking around that ill be happy to trade you for it though IMHO you wont be disappointed.

hey james,
bolivars are pretty strong cigars, so always be weary of them! the first tubos no.2 i had, on a campervan trip in donegal, knocked my socks off (even after a full meal)! the GM did the same thing to me after i had one during a lunch break! you gotta respect the bolivars!! saying that, i'm steaming through a box of BBF's at an alarming rate, and i've 2 royal coronas left from a box of 25 i bought about 7 months ago!!!
if i was recommending anything, i'd recommend the BBF or royal corona!!! both are rich, yet refined, tasty and damned creamy!!! the GM's may be discontinued, but there's plenty around at the moment! the bbfs from 2010/2011 are smoking fantastic at the moment, same as the RC's and petite coronas! IMO, the GM isn't typical of the bolivar brand.....

James what Snr robusto says is spot on, havnt had the no2 myself but I'm acquainted with the rest, majority of boli are a strong smoke ( especially the petite corona) however an aged GM is a wonderful thing. Almost epitomizes what a real/ good cigar isAndy
Looking for Monte Sublimes if you have any?
