  • Partagas Mille Fleurs

A large amount of my time is dedicated to finding a good everyday/value cigar. One that I can smoke and enjoy as a go-to while gradually being able to buy the better smokes.

I've tried all the 'cheaper' brand cigars, JLP, Rafael Gonzales etc, and they just don't do it for me. I used to like the Por Larranaga Panatella for a go to smoke, but I'd like something with a bigger ring guage.

I toyed with the idea of getting some bundled cigars from the US, which I've enjoyed in the past, but after all the hassle of shipping fees etc, it just isn't worth it.

And then.....I stumbled upon the Partagas Mille Fleur, this seems like it could be perfect. I love Shorts, SD4 and SP2...I just love Partagas....and although I'm fully aware that these won't be anywhere near as good, I'm hoping they may fit the bill as they are very affordable. I'm going to Amsterdam in a few weeks and was thinking I'd pick a box up from duty free.

Anyone got any experience/opinions with the Party Mille Fleur?

I've smoked a few boxes back when I started smoking CCs. They're pretty good every day smokes but in the same league as the shorts. I think a box of 10 is around 30 Euros in The Netherlands....pretty good VFM

I've had a few recently but came to the conclusion that I'd rather have a short.

Yeah I love the Shorts, and by no means would I expect the Mille Fleur to be up to the standard of the shorts. And I know the Shorts are not expensive in CC terms, but the MF's are much cheaper from what I've seen.

Even when I smoke a Party Short I like to sit, relax and savour it, in the MF I'd be looking more for something that I could enjoy while driving, walking the dog, or other times when I can't give a cigar my full attention.

Hay hay raf g coronas extras are nice (sometimes) but yeah PMFs are pretty decent though IMO you should try monte No5 as well.

Montie 4 is good but inconsistent at best

The Mille Fleur is a solid, reliable everyday cigar. I've smoked many boxes. Btw, don't be fooled by the name, it's not a "floral" cigar

Hmmmm, i've have had many with a tight spot in exactly the same place, approximately an inch from the head of the cigar, which does make it consistent i guess...lol.
That aside it's a very good cigar if you get some well rolled ones

That's probably the ONLY thing I was put off by. There are a few flavours I don't particularly like in cigars and 'floral' is one (along with grassy, tannin)

I more prefer creamy, cocoa, coffee, leather notes. How would you describe the Mille Fleur if not floral SmallClub?

Flavors of wood, humus, undergrowth (if that makes sense), that often evolve into tanned leather and coffee. It's much less spicy than the Short.

I have a box of 10 of both Mille Fleur and Monte No.4.
I really like the MF, I just can't get on with the No.4's

The Milfs are OK but nothing amazing. Like a muted short imho.

Go for the shorts instead if you want a cigar that'll put hairs on your chest!

I've had them and don't care for that floral profile they have. Prefer the Petite Coronas Especial in that price range over the Mille Fleurs.
