Your favourite minuto?

Just curious to know what you guys prefer out of the Partagas Short, RASCC or SCdLH El Principe? These same to be the main three I hear people talk about, the Boli Corona Jnr, ERDM tres petit seem a little less popular.

There's something about this vitola that I really like. The only one I've tried is the Party Short, had a box of them a couple of years ago, and think I'm gonna go with one a minuto for my next Cuban box purchase. Can't decide whether to stick with the Party's, which i know I enjoy, or take a punt on one the Rassc or El proncipe.

Which do you prefer and why? What are the main differences in flavour profiles? (spent hours on cigars-review, but would like your opinions )

Have you tried any of the others? RASCC, Secretos and Shorts are my faves in that size...

I've tried the Shorts and enjoy them a lot. I've smoked a Secretos too, which i got as a gift and loved it. I'd totally forgotten about that one.

Over the years my favorite in this size is the Bolivar Coronas JR. It's one of the most consistant cigars out there IMO. I like them even better than the Bolivar Petit Coronas. So if you enjoy the Bolivar profile. I highly recomend them.

my fav 'perlas', minuitos, half coronas whatever is as follows! in order of preference:
1. bolivar cj
2. party short
3. trini reyes
4. cohiba secretos
5. monte 5

funny, i never got on with the rascc.....

Never without some Partagas Shorts and Bolivar Corona Jnr's. I also love this size.

The Bolivar Belicoso Fino is one of my favourite cigars, how do the corona juniors compare in flavour? Would be awesome to get a similar smoke in a smaller format. I think the Shorts have got a hold on me though, I'm struggling to give something else a chance!

My favorites are the Boli Coronas Jr, Monte 5, & Dip 5s. The latter are lovely with spice and lemon peel to me. Fortunately I bought several boxes before they stopped production. If you can find any grab them up.

For those that I have smoked enough to rank:

1. Siglo 1
2. RASCC
3. Shorts
4. Reyes
5. Monte 5

Secretos are awesome when they smoke well, they seem to be very tightly rolled and young are a hard draw.
Trini Reyes are my most smoked and always have some in the humi, next would be the RASCC but they need to sit for a year.
Siglio I's are good but expensive compared to others.
Party Shorts I love but have to be in the mood for, being quite a powerhouse.
Petit Punch used to be one of my go to's but not had any for a while.

Siglo1 is simlarly priced vs the Reyes.

I compare the siglo1 to Reyes and I choose it over the Reyes everytime. the Reyes has some bitterness and spiciness that I just don't like.


now my go to / and stocked up smokes are as follows:

Under 45 mins : Siglo 1
1 hour only : HdM PR
1 -1.5 hour : RASS/Punch Punch
2 hours : something big

That's a tough one, I love this size and it's a close run fight.

If I had to rank them it would be as below.

1 - Party Short
2 - RASCC (This takes #1 with a few years of age)
3 - Reyes
4 - Siglo I
5 - El Principe
6 - Monty 5 (this is far below the rest IMO, the only one I'd say I don't like)

An honourable mention must also go to the Diplomaticos #5 which was a great smoke but I doubt you'll find any now.

I like the size, and Petit Punch were the cigar I really 'understood', so it's a toss-up between them and the Boli CJ.
Reyes and Secretos are good but as mentioned earlier the Secretos seem tight when young, and my experience with the Reyes are a bit too variable when young too.

That said, my current stock of the PPP and the Boli CJ are both 2007 so are I can't really comment on them when young!

I dunno if a petite corona should be mentioned here but if your smoking all of the above the PL and bolie petite coronas are worth a honourable mention.
