I was mooching around on Habanos and I came across this http://www.habanos.com/Sellos/Info/VerificaSelloCajon

It apparently verifies whether or not your box of cigars are genuine (from the Habanos database).

I'm not sure if this will be of use to anybody but if you're in doubt, give that link a try!
