I first tried the Grandes a number of years ago and ended up swapping with Stevieboy for the VR RE 2007 Maestros, which I found at the time to be a better smoke. The Grandes is a nice 49RG cigar, and is about 6 inch in length.
Recently I purchased another box of Grandes from 2008 just to see how some time in a humi had affected the taste profile. I smoked the first one two nights ago and found it to be a fantastic smoke and even better than the RA Gigantes IMO. Some real nice woody, spicy flavours coming through and I smoked it right down to the nub.
If you have any of these resting in the humi then I would advise giving them a try ASAP, as they are smoking great at the moment.
