  • Monte Petit Edmundo Flavours

    Morning all,

    I finally managed to smoke the Monte Petit Edmundo I picked up last week.

    I braved the wind outside while I had the dinner in the oven.

    I am just a little curious as to whether anybody else has experienced the flavours I did.

    The first 1/3 tasted like candy floss, and the remainder like liquorice??

    Don't get me wrong it was nice, but not what I expected at all!

    I was drinking it with Bombay Sapphire + Tonic so that may have proved some part in it, but the flavour definitely went from sweet to liquorice

    I get through quite a few of these.... can't say they're words that spring to mind, might be worth trying another. Great little cigars though.

      Funny you should mention that, I was drinking Bombay Sapphire whilst eating a candyfloss last week. I was reminded of a Monty Petit Edmundo

          i dont think gin goes with montes very well - i'd choose maybe a whisky, an ale or a coffee with them - just my tuppence worth.

            I thought that might be the case.

            Perhaps I will try one again as suggested by Drew, but perhaps with a nice single malt.

            Thanks for the heads up!

                  Lemon tea is my tipple...morning, noon and night. Earl Grey with lemon is a weekend treat...goes very well with lighter sticks such as Choix Supreme on a sunny afternoon

                  PS still utterly adore the Monte PE. I've gone through nearly as many of these as JL#2s :thumb;
