....... mind you, i picked up a few of the H&F aged montecristo especial no.1's from 1997 and they're amazing smokes!!! reading through that thread, it sounds like the VR unicos are the safest pick of the bunch!!!

I woudl think the larger guage ones are probably fine but the thinner guage ones such as the Siglo Vs I am very concerned so will probably not pick them up. 50% off must mean they are being sold off for some reason, obviously nothing malicious but for whatever reason they are just not selling.

If anything these should have an increased price due to the age, so I'm leaning towards construction problems or even just the possibility of construction problems has caused them to not sell.

Well, I kinda took the view that JJ Fox aren't Del Boy and took the plunge. These arrived not a half hour ago, and do you know, the look, feel and smell pretty OK to me. The tack-ons are RyJ Petit Julieta, inspired by something Small Club mentioned in another thread. They're a cigar I've been meaning to give a second chance to and this was an opportunity.
