Monaco

Whilst here in Nice, we took a wee trip to Monaco. I found three places:

1. La Regence.
28 Avenue de la Costa
98000, Monaco

Small but varied stock. Picked up some nice REs. Nice helpful member of staff who let me take my time. See pic below

2. Davidoff
17, Av des Sp?lugues, Les galeries du M?tropole, Monte Carlo 98000

Great stock but the usual hard-faced, snooty bitch who Davidoff seem to employ in every store I've been in: Brussels, Geneva and now Monaco. I voted with my feet and left. I can't believe the Davidoff staff are allowed to be so rude. Zino must be spinning...

3. Shop in arcade where the casino slots are (forgot name)

Excellent array of stock but nothing at all unusual. Nice staff who left me in peace to browse. The only LE I saw was the HdM Regalos.

Stevieboy just to let you know that he staff at the Davidoff shop in New York were also up their own arse! However the one time I've been in the London store I found them very helpful and quite pleasant!

Correct there Dave. The mega-yachts at the marina are mental. I had a wee nosy and did a Google check on one of them and it's available for charter for one week for....700,000Euros. Mad

Way back when I first got into 'gars, I went to a shop in London that I *think* was Davidoff (can't remember) but if it was, I was nicely looked after. I mebbe should have said that in the original post...

Aye...I was a bit disappointed at the sizes.
Considering how Monte Carlo is all about visible displays of wealth I expected to see folks wandering around with Siglo VIs and DCs...not a sausage. Didn't see a single cigar smoker...loads of Ferraris, boobjobs and rubber-dinghy lip-jobs though

I was rather disappointed by the offering in Monaco too. Got a couple of nice sticks from the one in the arcade though.

The bar on top of the Fairmont is a nice spot to enjoy one.

In Nice for the weekend and ventured into Monaco for the day today where I stumbled across this little Tabac and purchased a stick I've been longing to try for some time now - San Cristobal La Fuerza. They have a walk in humidor with a fairly large and varied selection, although lacking in 'specials' such as Regionals & LE's, but going by the cigar I purchased their stock is well looked after as it smoked perfectly.
