2 weeks in all. I have the little one (4 months) and the with me so wild hedonism is probably out the window.
We arrive on Wednesday, pick up a car and do self-drive to Havana, Vinales, Cienfuegos, Playa Giron, Trinidad and Varadero. It'll be busy but should be good
No concrete plans made but we'll make it to a plantation and factory for sure...
I'm off on the 15th, to Havana, Trinidad, Varedero. Your sound like an epic with a 4month in tow. What plantation are you going to? I'm hoping to go to one, but not too sure how to get there as we're not hiring a car.

I'm not sure on the plantation - will have to get some advice on that. I'll be in the right area (Vinales) so hopefully I'll figure it out.
I'm guessing it'll be easy for you to get a tour from Havana that will take you up West to all things tobacco-related...

sounds like a good time coming up, and if your still off cigars when you get back i am sure there are more than a few of us who would gladly take your cigar haul off your hands
Have a great trip. Make sure you have enough stuff for the 4 month old, and that could mean baby formula, nappies, wipes etc. for the entire trip. That stuff is hard to get in Cuba.
Friends went to Cuba a few years ago, travelled around with their 9 month old and had a very difficult time. They had done very little preparation though.
Hey all! Just back. Cheers for the advice btw Ryan. Very relevant - we had done our reserach beforehand though
Here are the cigars I sampled whilst there (needless to say I rediscovered my taste for them)...
1 Montecristo Grand Edmundo Edicion Limitada
1 Montecristo Grand Edmundo
2 Montecristo tubos of some description
1 Partagas Serie D Edicion Limitada
1 Partagas Serie D No. 4
1 Cohiba Behike 54
1 Cohiba Siglo IV
1 Cohiba Maduro 5 Magicos
1 Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill
1 Romeo y Julieta No. 2
1 Punch Corona
1 Punch Double Corona
1 Punch Churchill
1 H Upmann Corona Minor
1 Vegas Robaina Unicos
1 Bolivar Royal Corona
And a fair number of good fakes and custom rolls. Still amazed I have no nicotine cravings now
Welcome back Travis. Wow! You certianly managed to smoke a lot more than I did on my trip, guess you have a more understanding lady (there must be a few baby caring hours in the bank waiting to be claimed back now your at home again). So what were the best smokes & highlights of the tour for you? What plantation did you go to in the end? Let's see a full report.
