Well I'm off to Germany on Monday, in the region of Monchengladbach and was wondering if anyone can point out some nice spots to go for a smoke, or indeed any good shops to stop in at (probably won't be buying, but always nice to look!).

Dunno about M?nchengladbach, but I know there's some good shops in K?ln, nearby. If you got time, there's GREAT shop in Aachen.
It's in German but you'll get the general idea if you don't speak the language. Prices are very keen also.No man has the right to fix the boundary of a nation.

Thaks Celsis. I forgot about Koln. Problem is anywhere outside of Monchengladbach is going to be a pain as I'm totally reliant on public transport whilst I'm out there...I was tempted to drive to Germany (to avoid hours on a stinking cramped coach) but there's no way I'm taking my gas-guzzing 4x4 all the way out there! My photoblog: http://chrisclarkphoto.blogspot.com/

Trains are frequent and cheap. If you're gonna be there often, buy yourself a Bahncard.
Cheapest trains are the Lokalzug. They stop at each station but are really cheap. At the other end is the ICE which you pay a supplement for, but it's really comfy! You pays your omney.....
You could also try this
but I don't know how up to date it is..........No man has the right to fix the boundary of a nation.

While there are several good places for cigars in D?sseldorf ( among them a LCDH and Davidoff ) -
these 2 below are the best shops and lounges there IMHO :
My number 1 preference - great lounge & shop, open until the late hours, best selection :

PS : Having fun, drinking beer and smoking cigars in D?sseldorf with my buddies :
Enjoy

Managed to get back to the UK for a few days (leaving again on Saturday!). Found a nice little smoking shop in MG in the Theater Centre (or similar) although prices were rather rubbish! My photoblog: http://chrisclarkphoto.blogspot.com/

Not yet, but it's doubtful I'll even get chance to get back into MG, much less Dusseldorf, as between tomorrow evening when I get back to Germany and late December when I return to the UK I have the total of about 3 days off! I doubt I'm even going to have chance to herfMy photoblog: http://chrisclarkphoto.blogspot.com/
