Am I right in thinking that Hotel du Vin in Edinburgh is still one of the best venues in the city where you can bring your own cigars to smoke? I'm going down there between Christmas and Hogmanay for a pals 50th and taking a couple of vintage RyJ Churchill tubos for us to celebrate the occasion with. Stevieboy

Yes. Still a great place to go Neil. Heated, covered and bar service.

The Sheraton hotel is also great for a cigar. Mind you at this time of year it's going to be bloody freezing. It is heated and they have blankets but wrap up.

Indigo Yard is also excellent. It has a heated courtyard and fantastic cocktails

There's a pub just around the corner called Whigams that has a couple of tables outside and the warmest heaters I've ever sat beneath. I've been there in January and it's so hot I've had to take my coat off

Badger and Co on Castle Street has an internal courtyard that's covered and they have some of the most amazing cocktails ever.

I was at HduV a few months ago and it’s a great place for a cigar.

Room for approx x12 people in the bothy and the drinks are pretty well priced from memory.
