New York cigars / cigar lounges

Am off to Manhattan in a couple of weeks and wondered if anyone had been to any Cigar lounges over there.

I’m looking at the following:
- SoHo Cigar Bar
- The Carnegie Club (more of a Jazz bar but looks cool)

Anyone been to these or can recommend any others please?

Also, what’s the craic re tax on cigars when purchasing in stores ? I’ll be heading to the Davidoff store for some boxes of Grand Cru’s and don’t want any nasty surprises come payment time (Google isn’t much help)

I believe in a phyiscal store, the tax is the usual 4.5% sales tax on top of the sticker price. New York has fairly high tobacco taxes as the US goes, but those prices are worked into the sticker price. If you're buying online, things get a bit more confusing!

Thanks, that’s not too bad then I had visions of it being much higher than that.
