Andorra/Barcelona Trip

I'll be visiting Andorra and then on to Barcelona for a few days each in early September. Naturally, I'll be looking to stock up.

Apparently, Andorra beats Spain for prices? So on that basis, and in the hope that stock levels might be better, I'm going to prioritise Andorra, unless anyone knows any different?

A quick Google search throws up three options in Andorra La Vella:

The LCDH
The Cigar Shop
Tabaquera La Unio

I'm assuming the prices are the same across them all, as they should be, and stock levels will be the usual lottery. But has anyone had any experience to recommend in terms of service/storage etc.? Any one in particular I should go for if time is limited?

I'm hoping to try and make it to the LCDH and the Cigar Shop, but my partners patience may be tested if I have to keep dragging her back and forward while I'm deciding what to buy and where 😂

Delete the last one and add casa dels tabacs and les 1000 pipes.

All can be covered in 1 -1/2 hours if you let your partner browse all the shopping in the area.

Don’t count on much. Simple ordinary stuff like small sticks etc they should have in abundance - everything bigger, RE or LE you’d have to be lucky.
ALL LCDH/Habanos specials ONLY in LCDH. And they might only sell you single sticks.

More or less same prices as rest of Europe.
You can bring out 75 sticks/pax. Count on being stopped😎

-Oh, and they’ll sell you all the Cohiba and Trinidad’s you’d ever want of course😆

As an update though based on what I found...

I popped into a fair few 'tabac' off-licence style stores with varying degrees of stock/storage confidence. Picked up a couple of singles to smoke around the place and they seemed alright though.

I also visited the LCDH and the two The Cigar Shops in Andorra for more extensive browsing. The LCDH had decent stock, but by far the most extensive was The Cigar Shop near the 'Historic Centre' of Andorra La Vella. The largest walk in I've come across and a good selection of some of the larger cigars too. All seemed to be dated May/June 2023 (potentially a sign stock levels are picking up again 🤔).

I came away with:
10 box of Lusitanias
25 BBF cab.
25 Monte Double Edmundo dress Box
3 Serie P No.2
5 HdM Souvenir de Luxe

Having returned home, my only regret was not buying more...

I didn't think they were too bad actually... The cheapest cigars I bought there were RyJ No.1 Tubos (wanted tubed to carry around with me) and they were less than €8, a HdM Epi.2 Tubo was about €14, the Partagas were about €27 each.

I was given a price list by one of the shops which I'll try and post if I can find it still. And I did note that the prices in all the reputable shops were the same and matched that list, so no secrets and no fear of being ripped off.

The cigar shop will sell LCDH boxes too, I’ve bought H Upmann Conni B from there etc. I believe they own the LCDH.

Nope, not the last time I was there. Only 2-3 sticks and no boxes, Gloria’s and Lopez’s. Also only one box each of different regulars even though they were stocked up. I’ve bought thousands worth and they know me, but only whining about tit tat. Cohiba and Trinidad of course I could buy by the truckload 😂
