Pedro, nice photo's of New York there, bringing back many happy memories of my week there the week before Christmas.
I also visited Barclay Rex (although a different one from you it looks like) as well as a number of others, the cigars stores in NYC are absolutely top notch.
What I wanted to say was I think Pedro you should definately give NC another chance or two! I think like some of the guys above have already pointed out some of the NC you mentioned are possibly some of the lesser/cheaper (for want of a better expression) NC brands. Before you decide never to smoke a NC again you must try some/all of the following;
1. Rocky Patel (either 1990/1992/Decade or all)
2. Tatuaje (or any of the Pete Johnson lines)
3. Opus X (or any of the Fuente brands)
4. Padron (either the 1926/1964/40th Ann./80th Ann. or all)
5. Ashton (especially the VSG line)
6. Don Pepin Garcia (especially the My Father brand)
7. Padilla
Pedro I'm confident out of that lot your bound to find one you like, may be not as much as your cubans, but one you like never the less.
