I lived in Bielefeld and I uderstand what you mean by the people being...well...German! I lived in an apartment block and worked all day for Deutsche Bank. One morning, I put out my washing before going to work as it was a beautiful morning. When I came home, the old woman next door, about 80(!) had rearranged all my washing so that it went from small to large items.
I had heard of the German desire for symmetry, but that was ridiculous! Apart from that, I loved it and the Germans have a really great self deprecating sense of humour. Although some of the women can be awfy furry!!No man has the right to fix the boundary of a nation.
No man has the right to say to his country, "Thus far shalt thou go and no further."
