Hello!
Been inspired to join this forum after sampling some of Cuba's finest... I was in Cuba for a month on a study trip and had the pleasure of sampling some diving rum and cigar combos. Having previously stuck mostly to whiskey and the occasional cigarillo or lower end cigar I'm no in awe of the variation of taste and quality out there. Also a visit to the Partagas factory is highly recommended-there's 'quality control' staff there who literally smoke constantly all day to ensure that production is up to scratch! Can you imagine? I'm pretty sure they're not allowed to drink at the same time though.... Still, they looked surprisingly old considering their chosen profession, but then that could just be the premature ageing... The only downside to this is that I can't afford UK prices so it'll have to stay a rare pleasure, which is probably the best kind anyway Long live Cohiba Lanceros!
