Hey Geoff,

Apologies for the late reply. Stuck my head into Havana cigar shop Split on my last day and jotted down some prices for you, I didn't have much time though as I was leaving for the airport. It's roughly 8 Kuna to the GBP which is the rate I've used here (I've left the Kuna prices for you to use for a more accurate conversion) :

Partagas Mille Fleur (Box of 10) = HRK475/GBP59.38
Partagas Serie D No.4 (Box of 10) = HRK985/GBP123.13
Cohiba Robusto (Box of 3) = HRK574.50/GBP71.82
H.Upmann Mag 50 (Box of 25) = HRK3050/GBP381.25

This should give you a ballpark figure of how much you can save compared to UK prices. There doesn't seem to be any difference in price on the individual cigar when bought as singles or as boxes (that I could tell anyway), and there was a fair amount non-cubans in there if that's your thing but I wouldn't know what to look for.

Hope this helps, I was told they have a website too but I haven't seen it. May be worth checking out. I think there's another shop further out of town but can't comment on their prices.

I don't know if it's just scaremongering but I've heard rumours of fake cigars being sold in Split so check box codes etc... Enjoy your trip and let us know how it goes.

Also, I took a fair bundle of my own Cubans with me when I went (20 sticks) and didn't get to smoke as many as I'd hoped, returned through Split airport with most of the bundle no questions asked
