That sounds like a cracking trip. I've done some long-arsed rides around Europe, hopping on a plane to get to the good weather sounds spot on. I don't think I'd fit all my gear in a carry-on though

Ah I was thinking more of my helmet and biking gear squeezing into carry-on hand luggage

              Not too bad considering.

              Hi Banos,

Thanks for the email and interest in the one way hire.

We?ll have a selection of motorcycles with us for the one ways hire from Barcelona, what type of motorcycle are you looking for?

I have provided further details and basic terms below, please come back with any questions or if you?d like to discuss booking a bike.

Cost wise, we?re doing the basic UK rate ? no one way hire fees so costs really depend on the bike you choose and the length of your trip, I?ve give you a few different options based on four days, pick-up on the evening of the 18th, returning by 17.00 on Saturday 22nd September:

              Triumph Street Triple 765 R ? four days ?530
              KTM 1290 GT ? four days ?580

With either option there would be an extra ?50 for your EU insurance and paperwork, depending if you have your own European breakdown cover you can use yours or it?s an extra ?50 for EU breakdown cover for ours, UK cover is included.

Luggage wise we have 20 litre Kriega packs or 50 litre roll bags for the Street Triple, Brutale and Duke for example. Other bikes may also come with panniers or top box, luggage is charged at ?5 per day.

Bikes come with 200 miles per day, additional miles can be purchased at 25 pence per mile.

Our basic terms and conditions are our insurance stipulations which are as follows:

? At least two years on a full bike licence

              ? Be aged between 30 ? 70

? No more than 6 points and no serious convictions

? No more than one fault accident in the last three years

? A credit card on which an insurance excess can be held for the duration of the hire from between ?1,000 - ?3,000 depending on the bike used

We would also like an idea of what you currently ride and/or your riding history.

Many thanks again for your enquiry and we hope to hear from you soon.

A day trip to Geneva would be cheaper and safer. And before you diss my motorcycling credentials I used to ride a big white BMW R80 around central London every day!
