I am flying from Juan Santamaria. We will spend the last day in the capital and I will check out the Casa Del Habanos there.

So far though, the picking here is very slim. I haven't seen anything remotely acceptable to buy. Storage is outside any climate control.

I have my eyes open, but I wouldn't count on picking up any sticks here.

Today a Jericho Hill. Never lets me down.

I have yet to smoke any of my cigars that I keep for special occasions. Something I notice in the past.

My best cigars get rarely smoked as I am waiting for the perfect conditions. Good weather, little wind, not too much company, so I can focus on the cigar. Anybody else shares the same problem?

The CDH is out on the edge of town.. Towards the airport I think... From what I saw in the city the prices are generally very high.. Catering for the Americans I guess.

Just use Uber instead of a normal taxi, you won't get ripped off and there isn't any discussion about price.

Finally time for one of the nicer ones. Sadly it was plugged but I saved it with the help of a little stick...

Great roasted coconut flavours, but still quite a bit of spice. I think I will put these away for a few more years.

I seem to remember figures of around 20-30usd at shops in the city and very similar at the CDH, but please check it yourself

I didn't make it to the LCDH today, but I made a stop at Havana Humidor Room. A rather dubious looking place, but full of friendly Yankees happy to have a nice chat.

There is a decent selection of Cubans in the walk in, but the prices are ridiculous. A Cohiba Robusto goes for $40.

I told the guy that I get them cheaper at home, so he sold me a Costa Rican cigar made of Nicaraguan tobacco.

It's a decent cigar. Not much sweetness but my missus liked the smell. It's worth getting one or two for curiosity reasons alone, but it also makes an enjoyable smoke. Don't expect much sweetness or finesse though.

Actually, as I approached the end of the cigar, the flavour changed and it became milder and more interesting. I regret only having bought one of them.

Haha that's the knocking shop, room by the hour place I mentioned. Music still blaring outside?

I bought the same for curiosity purpose only. On google maps there is a place near the theatre on Av . 2... Don't look for it as it isn't there.
