Don't help yourself to a draw of another man's cigar, just imagine what the penalty would be for that!!!
I went to Dubai, a couple of yrs ago & there are smoking areas & plenty of spaces you can't smoke. The downtown hotel has a great cigar bar for the evenings, excellent location & you can watch the fountain & light show from a great vantage point & smoke on their veranda.

Cigar prices in Dubai have just incurred a substantial rise in tax except for those in the airport I think. Have a little search back, it was a recent post here.

100% tax rise I seem to remember. . Except when buying in the departures duty free.. arrivals duty free has a price rise.

Yes there are places to smoke but in general I don't seem to recall a noticeable amount of people smoking and I'm there every few weeks.

One of my favourite places used to be level 43 on the main drag to watch the sunset over Alka-Seltzer islands but they have tried to go upscale and now they only sell bottles of beer @ ?9 and cocktails @ ?18 and changed the layout for the worse.
Now you will only find tourists instead of the regular expat crowd.

If you have never been it's still worth a visit for the sunset view.

Haha I was there when it broke in the UK news. I know people that were in the bar at the time.. he's telling a very different story to the UK papers to what really happened
