Forget Dubai for cigars

Hi all,

Since 1st October Dubai introduced various taxes on products such as tabacco carbonated drinks and energy drinks.

Carbonated drinks have a 50%tax and tabacco and energy drinks 100% so forget your vodka red bulls and a stick on the rooftop bars.

I went through a few days after the tax introduction and noticed a huge price increase, I didn't note the price as I wasn't aware of the increase at the time.

Picked up a few boxes when I went through there last year. The prices weren't the best around though digging around you could find boxes with some decent age.

Maybe it's their way of boosting duty free sales. After all everywhere else it's like the worst place to buy stuff the days!
